Beer Fit Club is teaming up with Hop Culture Magazine for an event for their Beers With(out) Beards Craft Beer Week celebrating women in craft beer. We couldn’t be more excited to team up with them as an all-female company teaming up with a woman from Hop Culture to pay tribute to the fabulous ladies of craft beer with this unique Beer + Yoga event. How will we celebrate women at this event? There will be a playlist of fierce female artists to accompany the class, and we’re giving back to women in craft beer, 30% of profits will be donated to the Pink Boots Society! If you don’t know about the Pink Boots Society, they assist, inspire and encourage women beer industry professionals to advance their careers through education. Here’s to bringing more women to craft beer, after all, women were the first brewers in history!

Imagine the last beer you drank. Can you taste the bright citrus and tangy grapefruit? Perhaps you can smell aromas of freshly brewed coffee or unwrapped chocolate. Now, picture the person who brewed that beer. How do they appear? Short? Tall? Large? Small?

Now answer honestly — did you envision a man or a woman?

Hop Culture is proud to announce Beers With(out) Beards, a weeklong celebration promoting the accomplishments of women in craft beer. Through 12 unique and exclusive events, we’re seeking to empower the role of all women in craft beer. The week will culminate in a tasting festival at The Well in Brooklyn featuring 20+ of the top female-run breweries in the country.

About Beer Fit Club’s Beer + Yoga Class

Originating in the west coast, Beer and Yoga has swept all over the country, but no one else has made drinking beer part of the class- until now! We have designed a fun and approachable yoga class that incorporates drinking your beer into our poses. From “Drunken Warrior” to “Earn Your Beer” pose, you’ll be challenged not just to keep your balance, but not to spill a drop!

Can I Do This Yoga Class With No Experience?
Yes, yes and YES! This class welcomes beginners with open arms! From entirely inflexible to a yoga rock star- you’ll enjoy this class!
What Kind of Yoga Class Is This?
We practice a vinyasa flow style of yoga with your pint incorporated. Classes are a full hour and include a pint of beer.
What Else Do I Get With My Ticket?
I’m glad you asked! No “Beer + Yoga” event would be complete without a beer! So you get a full hour of yoga + a whole pint of Five Borough’s Beer!!
What Should I Bring?
Bring your yoga mat; we won’t be providing any. Oh and bring yourself!
How Can I Get There?
No car? Take the N or the R train to 45th street. From there it’s a short walk to 47th street.
Driving? Take Exit 23 from I-278 W (BQE). Then take 3rd Ave to 47th street. Street parking only. Please carpool.
